Description

  • Build and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and offline-capable progressive web applications.
  • Design RESTful APIs, database schemas, and data models for defense and logistics systems.
  • Develop durable data ingestion pipelines that transform, deduplicate, and route multi-source data.
  • Build interactive web applications for visualizing, querying, and managing operational data.
  • Design data access patterns across relational, graph, and analytical databases.
  • Deploy and operate containerized services on Kubernetes using reproducible builds and secure supply-chain practices.
  • Implement observability across applications and infrastructure, including traces, metrics, logs, and dashboards.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, security, and compliance practices, including DoD integrations.
  • Optimize systems for scalability, reliability, and low-connectivity environments.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams and participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of full-stack development experience.
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, Django, and Docker.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Vite, JavaScript, mapping libraries, Angular, Tailwind, and/or Turbo.js.
  • Familiarity with Rust’s async ecosystem, including Tokio, Axum, Tower, or tracing.
  • Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes at scale, including managed clusters, Helm charts, and in-cluster troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining customized OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
  • Strong API and software abstraction design skills across heterogeneous backends.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, including design documents, ADRs, acceptance criteria, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to design systems with thoughtful architectural trade-offs and maintain high standards for testing and maintainability.
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required.
