Description

  • Define the product roadmap, specifications, priorities, and build-versus-rent decisions for the advertising platform.
  • Design a canonical event model spanning video, live, timelines, polls, chat, carts, checkout, and purchases.
  • Build identity resolution, consent management, attribution, reporting, and reconciliation systems.
  • Develop on-site retail media capabilities, including sponsored placement delivery and ranking.
  • Build advertiser-facing campaign setup, pacing, delivery, and reporting interfaces.
  • Create APIs connecting campaigns and audiences to external buying platforms, with future Google Ad Manager and Prebid integration.
  • Instrument shipped products, monitor usage and data discrepancies, and improve pipeline reliability.
  • Work directly with retailers, analytics leads, and commercial teams to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Use AI to prototype data models, generate transformation logic, explore customer data, document systems, and monitor pipelines.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience building production data or backend systems.
  • Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL skills.
  • Experience with event pipelines, data modeling, and analytics infrastructure, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience owning products or systems end to end, from defining requirements through production delivery.
  • Ability to design maintainable data models and clearly communicate technical specifications.
  • Strong judgment regarding effort, risk, scope, and commercial value.
  • Experience with at least one of eCommerce, marketing, or media, with working fluency across the other two areas.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed, international team across global time zones.
  • Based in Europe or a compatible European time zone and available for full-time engagement.
  • Experience joining advertising exposure data with transaction data, attribution, identity resolution, clean rooms, or conversion APIs is preferred.
  • Experience with retail media, commerce media, publisher monetization, or customer-facing analytics products is preferred.
  • Spanish, Portuguese, or French language skills are preferred.
