Description

  • Work with Weatherization Service Providers, contractors, and community organizations to expand outreach and referrals for utility programs.
  • Develop outreach strategies with providers and contractors to increase participation from local organizations across Virginia.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners such as social services offices, Salvation Army locations, and veteran organizations.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding additional trade allies as needed.
  • Plan, coordinate, and host outreach events to promote program participation.
  • Identify, track, and report outreach activities monthly by region.
  • Provide ongoing support and collaboration to internal team members and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track production for the IAQ Solar Program.
  • Communicate with installers to resolve ongoing maintenance issues.
  • Serve as the point of contact for assigned Weatherization Service Providers and independent contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an outreach role with a community organization or an organization promoting programs, highly desired.
  • Interest in sustainability and making a meaningful environmental impact.
  • Proficiency with computers, cloud-based software applications, and Microsoft Suite products.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel 50% to 60% of the time, mostly in Virginia.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Comfort working with the public, trade allies, contractors, local organizations, and property management companies.
