Description

  • Own the end-to-end Ed-Fi Assessment Outcomes API delivery system, including data transformation, pipeline execution, and customer-facing configuration tooling.
  • Optimize the AWS-based file delivery infrastructure.
  • Support and enhance internal and customer-facing user interfaces.
  • Maintain Ed-Fi certification compliance, including field mappings, certification testing, and system updates as the standard evolves.
  • Design and maintain custom data transformation models for partner reporting requirements.
  • Build and improve data quality tooling so customers and partners can trust delivered data.
  • Mentor teammates and help establish engineering patterns for the data delivery domain.
  • Develop and optimize data delivery methods, data transformation orchestration, and customer team tooling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with emphasis on cloud-based data delivery and integration.
  • Advanced SQL experience and familiarity with modern ELT tooling such as dbt.
  • Experience designing, operating, and optimizing cloud-based data ETL pipelines that deliver data to external API endpoints and file systems.
  • Experience delivering data to an industry standard specification and/or maintaining data contracts.
  • Experience building efficient internal tooling for customer-facing teams.
  • Experience with data quality tooling, error reporting, or observability for data pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with product and customer-facing teams.
  • Ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Experience with Snowflake as a data source (preferred).
  • Experience with the Ed-Fi data spec as a consumer or provider (preferred).
  • Familiarity with serverless or event-driven architectures on AWS (preferred).
  • Background in K-12 education data or state reporting (preferred).
  • Experience building or maintaining self-serve customer tooling for data integration management using modern UI frameworks (preferred).
  • Enthusiasm for working on a remote, geographically distributed Agile team using DevOps practices and AI tooling (preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

  • Salary range of $109,500 to $150,550 USD.
