Description

  • Define the vision and roadmap for a multi-surface reporting and insights system across reports, dashboards, exports, APIs, embedded surfaces, and AI experiences.
  • Translate the reporting needs of payroll, finance, HR, executive, manager, internal operator, and partner personas into product priorities.
  • Own payroll-grade reporting capabilities including standard reports, configurable report building, GL/journal exports, variance reporting, reconciliation, permissions, lineage, auditability, and observability.
  • Develop intelligent insights experiences using AI, anomaly detection, driver analysis, and proactive recommendations.
  • Partner with Data, Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and partners to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Establish and track KPIs for adoption, engagement, trust, accuracy, distribution usage, retention, expansion, and internal leverage.
  • Use customer feedback and product data to continuously improve reporting and insights capabilities.

Requirements

  • Track record as a Product Manager with focus on reporting, analytics, data platforms, workflow, or insights products.
  • Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required, with the ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes.
  • Strong end-to-end data literacy across schemas, lineage, and report generation.
  • Ability to read and write SQL to validate results and investigate discrepancies.
  • Comfort with grain, joins, aggregations, double-counting, currency, timezones, effective dating, and late-arriving data pitfalls.
  • Deep empathy for customers and understanding of day-to-day workflows.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to navigate cross-functional trade-offs.
  • Strong UX sensibilities for making complex workflows feel simple and trustworthy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Business-level proficiency in English, written and spoken.
  • Experience in HR Tech, payroll, finance, compliance, or B2B SaaS is nice to have.
  • Ability to work globally and apply AI-assisted workflows is expected.
