Description

  • Manage complex voluntary and involuntary employee exits end to end across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and related HR matters.
  • Lead workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, and termination meetings.
  • Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and internal teams to ensure compliant offboarding.
  • Draft and administer termination and supplementary documentation while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
  • Process offboarding activities in Remote’s HRIS and coordinate associated payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and customer success workflows.
  • Assess workplace concerns, guide clients on employee relations resources and progressive discipline, and monitor ongoing cases.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and serve as an escalation point and subject-matter expert for offboarding and employee relations matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, product enhancements, and customer experience improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary terminations with sensitivity and legal compliance.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret industrial instruments, research complex HR issues, and develop practical recommendations and team resources.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills for difficult conversations.
  • Advanced written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interest in process optimization, automation, and best practices, with demonstrated AI fluency and automation capabilities.
  • Strong operational discipline, record-keeping, data integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous, international remote environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are preferred.
