Description

  • Manage complex voluntary and involuntary employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and related HR matters.
  • Lead workforce-reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, and termination meetings.
  • Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and internal teams to ensure compliant offboarding.
  • Draft and administer termination documents while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
  • Process employee exits in Remote’s HRIS and coordinate benefits, payroll, time and attendance, legal, and customer success activities.
  • Assess workplace concerns and guide clients on employee relations, progressive discipline, investigations, and documentation.
  • Track employee relations cases and provide timely follow-up and stakeholder coordination.
  • Mentor junior team members and serve as an escalation point for complex offboarding and employee relations matters.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience enhancements.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary terminations with sensitivity and legal compliance.
  • Experience advising on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret industrial instruments, research complex HR issues, and develop practical recommendations and resources.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are preferred.
  • Strong interest in process optimization, automation, AI, and best-practice development; demonstrated AI fluency required.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous, international remote environment while managing competing priorities.
