Description

  • Manage complex end-to-end voluntary and involuntary employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and related HR matters.
  • Lead workforce-reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, and termination outcome meetings.
  • Negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations involving stakeholders with competing interests.
  • Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and internal teams to ensure compliant offboarding.
  • Draft and administer termination documentation while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
  • Process employee exits in Remote’s HRIS and coordinate all related payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and customer success activities.
  • Assess workplace concerns, advise on employee relations resources, and guide clients on progressive discipline and documentation.
  • Track employee relations cases, provide first-level escalation support, and mentor junior team members.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer experience enhancements across offboarding and employee relations.‌

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary terminations with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience advising on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret industrial instruments, research complex HR issues, and provide practical recommendations in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills for leading difficult conversations.
  • Advanced written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are preferred.
  • Strong interest in process optimization, automation, AI, and best-practice implementation; demonstrated AI fluency required.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous international team while managing competing priorities; flexible hours may be required.
