Description

  • Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and contribute to cross-team initiatives for HR and Payroll products.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to provide feedback, suggest solutions, and improve product direction.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
  • Review code and contribute to the shared codebase.
  • Debug and resolve technical and business issues.
  • Participate in support rotations, hiring activities, RFC discussions, and other non-team engineering work.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers.
  • Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to the platform.
  • Design interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
  • Build and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end, including spec, planning, execution, and verification.
  • Develop reusable agentic workflow primitives that can be applied across domains.
  • Use verification loops such as tests, checks, evals, and guardrails to ensure correct, secure, reliable, and scalable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or comparable systems, and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems, including defining specs clearly, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the quality loop.
  • Experience with Postgres or a similar relational database.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with Elixir and Phoenix is relevant to the backend stack.
  • Experience with React and Next.js is relevant to the front-end stack.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
  • English-language application materials are required, and a PDF CV or LinkedIn profile must be submitted.
