Description

  • Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and contribute to cross-team initiatives for Remote’s HR and Payroll products.
  • Build tools, APIs, integrations, and interfaces for one of Remote’s products.
  • Participate in product discussions by providing feedback, suggesting solutions, and identifying product improvements from a technical perspective.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s product and engineering domain.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
  • Contribute to the shared codebase and debug technical and business issues.
  • Participate in team-wide activities such as support rotations, hiring, and RFC discussions.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers on the team.
  • Investigate, propose, and help implement platform improvements.
  • Design and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end, including spec, plan, execute, and verify.
  • Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives that can be applied across domains.
  • Use verification loops such as tests, checks, evals, and guardrails to ensure outputs are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or comparable systems, and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems, including defining specs clearly, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the loop on quality.
  • Experience with Postgres or a similar database.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with Next.js is preferred.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
  • Submission of a CV in PDF format is required.
