Description

  • Develop parsers and compilers for SAS, R, and Python used in clinical trial analysis.
  • Transform code, data, specifications, and statistical results into graphs and related data structures.
  • Build backend and code analytics components for the Verisian Platform.
  • Lead the analysis, design, development, and testing of platform components.
  • Design and maintain workflows that support planning, exploration, building, validation, submission, and review of clinical trials.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, identify root causes, and deploy fixes.
  • Collaborate on prioritizing and delivering new functionality across the engineering team.
  • Support deployment and operation of the application stack in cloud-based environments.
  • Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the backend stack.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in programming languages, parsing algorithms, interpreters, and compilers.
  • Extensive experience in Java and at least one other programming language.
  • Experience with graph theory and algorithm implementation.
  • Experience performing complex root cause analyses to find and resolve bugs.
  • Experience identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.
  • Strong teamwork mindset aligned with the company's mission-first culture.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical problems and solutions clearly across teams.
  • Ability to foresee risks and align work across multiple teams and colleagues.
  • Strong documentation discipline; code and documentation must exist for work to count.
  • Iteration mindset.
  • Bonus: experience with compilers or interpreters.
  • Bonus: experience with Antlr4 or a similar parsing framework.
  • Bonus: experience with R.
  • Bonus: experience with R, Python, or other interpreted language execution.
