Description

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, including validating payroll inputs, calculating payroll, and completing post-payroll processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on country payroll requirements and track legislative, tax, and regulatory changes affecting payroll operations.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate payroll matters across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, operational risks, and compliance issues, escalating complex matters when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes by streamlining workflows and improving operational transparency.
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation and operational knowledge to support scalable, governed processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and operational improvements.
  • Participate in testing for payroll system developments, enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools that improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level experience in Ukrainian payroll operations with hands-on end-to-end payroll processing in Ukraine.
  • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional partners.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong in problem-solving for complex payroll scenarios.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with comfort in asynchronous and globally distributed environments.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to raise risks early and handle operational challenges with accountability.
  • Comfort working in scrappy, fast-moving startup environments.
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms.
  • Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Strong fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Available to start as soon as possible.
