Description

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, including payroll input validation, calculations, and post-payroll processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on country payroll requirements and track legislative, tax, and regulatory changes affecting payroll operations.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions and integrate processes into operational workflows.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on country payroll matters and resolve operational questions.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, operational risks, and compliance issues, escalating complex matters when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining payroll workflows and improving operational transparency.
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation and operational knowledge to support scalable, governed processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and other operational improvements impacting payroll.
  • Participate in testing of payroll system developments, enhancements, and process improvements to ensure readiness.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level experience in Polish payroll operations with hands-on end-to-end payroll processing in Poland.
  • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders across a payroll ecosystem.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong in problem-solving for complex payroll scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfort working in asynchronous, globally distributed, and fast-moving startup environments.
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms.
  • Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Additional languages are a plus.
