Description

  • Serve as an expert on Time & Attendance matters and support complex projects involving employment law changes and Collective Bargaining Agreement updates.
  • Manage employee lifecycle leave and working hours cases across internal and external employees, including family leave, sick leave, time tracking, public holidays, and working time.
  • Advise clients and employees on employment legislation and provide guidance on basic and complex legal interpretations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, and government bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Support HR and financial audits related to local employment regulations across multiple countries.
  • Develop and maintain global internal documentation on Time & Attendance in response to legislative changes.
  • Proactively handle internal and external inquiries related to employment matters in collaboration with lifecycle stakeholders.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and better customer and employee experiences.
  • Safely manage employee data and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Promote Remote’s values and contribute to the goals of the Lifecycle team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead difficult conversations professionally and confidentially.
  • Advanced written and spoken English at a business level; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interest in innovating and optimizing processes, including automation and best practices.
  • Strong operational discipline with attention to documentation and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote, international environment.
  • Comfort using tools such as Notion, Slack, Zendesk, and G Suite.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and a foundational understanding of its practical applications in operations and automation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Prior employment verification check required as part of the application process.
