Description

  • Architect full-stack Shopify applications in a headless configuration using modern front-end frameworks.
  • Lead development of scalable, modular, high-performance eCommerce solutions with a focus on maintainability.
  • Build and optimize Gadget.dev applications integrated with Shopify APIs and third-party services.
  • Design system architecture for enterprise traffic, large catalogs, and multi-region deployment needs.
  • Implement integrations with payment gateways, ERPs, CRMs, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Build performant API layers using GraphQL, REST, or custom middleware for Shopify storefront and admin APIs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, DevOps, QA, and technical leads to define requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architecture documentation and best practices.
  • Support performance audits, A/B testing, and code optimizations for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in deploying robust eCommerce applications and ensuring stability and scalability in production environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing with Shopify, including Shopify Plus, Storefront API, Admin API, and checkout customization.
  • Strong understanding of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Liquid, Shopify Functions, and Shopify theme development.
  • Experience with React, Next.js or Remix, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
  • Backend experience with Node.js, Express.js, and serverless functions.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Shopify-native metafields and customer objects.
  • Experience designing GraphQL schemas and working with Apollo or Relay.
  • Strong experience with Gadget.dev, especially for Shopify-integrated apps and workflow automations.
  • Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, Strapi, or AEM.
  • Ability to lead large-scale Shopify implementations across multiple brands, currencies, and localized storefronts.
  • Comfort designing multi-tenant architectures, CDN caching strategies, and edge function deployments.
