Description

  • Own the end-to-end data quality program, including SLAs, monitoring, testing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Gather requirements with business and data teams to define and document technical and business data quality rules.
  • Build and maintain dbt-based data quality tests across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of the medallion architecture.
  • Create data quality dashboards and lead root-cause analysis to improve trust in data.
  • Build and maintain the enterprise data catalog and business glossary, keeping metadata, ownership, lineage, and definitions accurate and accessible.
  • Partner with domain teams to capture institutional knowledge and translate business context into shared metadata, glossary definitions, classifications, and governed semantic context.
  • Improve data discoverability and governance foundations to support trusted analytics and AI use cases.
  • Support governance and compliance practices for sensitive and regulated data.
  • Act as the bridge between Data and Business teams on definitions, ownership, trust, and governance decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops with domain owners to define business rules and data contracts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data quality and governance.
  • Hands-on experience running data quality and data governance initiatives in production.
  • Strong DBT and SQL skills.
  • Experience with data cataloging tools such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, Collibra, or similar.
  • Experience building data quality dashboards and communicating with business stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership and ability to work independently.
  • Startup experience or comfort working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting governance and compliance for sensitive or regulated data is preferred.
  • Exposure to medallion architecture or similar layered data models is preferred.
