Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Java.
  • Support the gradual migration of Python-based services to Java while maintaining system stability.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend integrations, and third-party service connections.
  • Contribute to system architecture, service boundaries, and migration strategy discussions.
  • Work with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Debug production issues and improve system reliability, observability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams across time zones.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Python and frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
  • Strong professional experience with Java, preferably Spring Boot.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; NoSQL experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development workflows.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving, performance, scalability, and communication skills, including written and spoken English.
