Description

  • Build, set up, and execute validation tests for a new electromechanical product.
  • Partner with design, reliability, and abuse engineering teams to support FMEAs and test plan execution.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain test infrastructure including fixtures, sensors, actuators, chambers, and power supplies.
  • Operate test equipment, follow procedures, and ensure safe handling of high-voltage systems and lab hardware.
  • Collect, organize, and document test data, observations, and results clearly and consistently.
  • Perform basic failure triage and support failure analysis through teardown, inspections, and root-cause investigations.
  • Troubleshoot test setups and hardware issues and collaborate to remove blockers quickly.
  • Support test automation and data logging tools by running scripts, validating outputs, and making small updates as needed.
  • Support New Product Introduction line operations, including product assembly, build readiness, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain build documentation such as work instructions, assembly procedures, and change logs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in a lab, manufacturing, or test environment in a technician, engineering tech, or similar role.
  • Experience working with or around high-voltage systems, including 400–2000VDC and 480–800VAC.
  • Strong safety discipline, including LOTO, PPE, and safe work practices.
  • Hands-on skills with mechanical assembly, wiring, sensors, instrumentation, and lab equipment.
  • Comfortable following test procedures, maintaining detailed documentation, and producing clear test summaries.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or automation tools; Python is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills across engineers and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Willingness to jump in, own tasks end-to-end, and support the team as needed.
