Description

  • Take technical ownership of a product area and partner closely with Product Managers and engineers to deliver high-impact products.
  • Lead the design and implementation of full-stack and backend solutions.
  • Create architectural design documents and proofs of concept to modernize the platform and reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Collaborate across teams to define solutions and communicate technical tradeoffs aligned with product and engineering goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in team services and champion projects that improve stability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Provide users with insight into data processing and tools for effective troubleshooting.
  • Mentor engineers and facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.
  • Identify technical levers that improve customer outcomes while balancing short-term delivery and long-term system health.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Track record of leading medium-to-large projects involving multiple engineers.
  • Experience building across the full stack, including backend services, data persistence, and modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
  • Ability to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Postgres.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including experience with pair programming and explaining complex technical concepts to product stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, strong ownership of outcomes, perseverance, and collaboration in an inclusive, psychologically safe environment.
  • Experience with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7v2, or X12, or with EHR integrations, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Node.js/TypeScript, REST API design, Redis, observability tools such as Grafana or Sumo Logic, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, preferred.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, preferred.
  • Must be based in the US and able to reside and work in the continental US.
