Description

  • Own ambiguous platform initiatives from scoping and prototyping through production delivery
  • Build infrastructure and controls that enable AI agents to operate safely in engineering and operations
  • Maintain platform security, stability, and scalability as traffic and agent autonomy increase
  • Partner with InfoSec to harden systems and reduce single points of failure
  • Simplify platform tools, vendors, and patterns to improve reliability and usability
  • Automate recurring maintenance and operational work
  • Improve visibility into platform and AI costs for business, operational, and technical stakeholders
  • Contribute hands-on to infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability systems
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage production incidents for owned systems
  • Share knowledge through pairing, design reviews, and documentation

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cloud-native infrastructure or platform engineering experience with increasing technical scope and impact
  • Deep hands-on AWS production experience, including networking, IAM, and managed services
  • Production Kubernetes expertise, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, node management, and autoscaling
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform/HCL and Helm
  • Experience with GitOps-style delivery and automating operational work with testing and rollback safeguards
  • Security-minded approach to access, secrets, and configuration; regulated-environment experience is preferred
  • Experience taking ambiguous work from prototype or experiment to production-ready systems
  • Strong written communication and technical judgment, including writing proposals and evaluating tradeoffs
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and residence in the continental U.S.
  • Experience operating AI agents in production or applying AI to infrastructure and operations work (preferred)
  • Experience with observability, networking, developer enablement, or cloud cost visibility/FinOps (preferred)
