Description

  • Build domain services in TypeScript and Node.js behind REST APIs, including lifecycle workflows, document generation, pricing, and payment calculations.
  • Extract business rules from legacy Java, PL/SQL, and database triggers and reimplement them with parity tests and golden-master comparisons.
  • Implement financial-grade controls including append-only audit trails, segregation of duties, reproducible calculations, and interface controls.
  • Rebuild file-based and API integrations with partner logistics, accounting, ERP, and training systems using contract-first development and emulators.
  • Work across the full stack, including UI, APIs, databases, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.
  • Decompose work into precise specifications for agentic development tools and own the quality of all merged code.
  • Apply test-driven development, rigorous code review, continuous integration, and frequent incremental releases.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and share documentation, demos, pairing, and engineering-harness improvements.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. SECRET clearance.
  • 7+ years of experience building and operating production web systems.
  • Strong server-side and domain-model engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience using Codex, Claude Code, or equivalent agentic AI tools on real codebases.
  • Fluency in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, networking, and security fundamentals.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Prisma, AWS, and containerized deployments is relevant to the role.
  • Ability to read PL/SQL and legacy Java.
  • Experience with financial calculation engines, audit- or compliance-sensitive systems, or complex state machines.
  • Experience in regulated or government environments, REST API design at scale, or Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations is preferred.
  • Availability to travel no more than once per quarter.
