Description

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features with a focus on reusable UI components and polished frontends.
  • Contribute to backend systems to create cohesive end-to-end product experiences.
  • Define and enforce clean API boundaries between frontend and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with teammates on deployment workflows, progressive rollouts, rollback automation, and deployment observability.
  • Translate complex infrastructure concepts into intuitive user interfaces for engineers.
  • Engage with engineers through user interviews and feedback sessions to improve developer workflows and the release experience.
  • Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge to raise the team’s full-stack engineering standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and help maintain platform reliability.
  • Lead projects end-to-end and drive work forward in ambiguous situations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications, with strong frontend expertise.
  • Deep proficiency in modern frontend development; experience with component-based frameworks such as React or Lit is valuable.
  • Solid backend experience and understanding of API design, service boundaries, and system architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD and build systems such as Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or Drone.
  • Experience with progressive delivery tools such as Argo Workflows, Argo Rollouts, Argo CD, or Kayenta.
  • Familiarity with Temporal, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive alignment, navigate tradeoffs, influence decisions, and empower others.
  • High empathy, curiosity, and humility with a passion for developer experience and reliability.
  • A strong sense of ownership and the ability to take initiative and lead projects end to end.
  • A self-directed, action-oriented approach with comfort operating in ambiguity and learning quickly.
  • Experience on developer experience, infrastructure, or platform teams is preferred.
  • Experience building internal platforms for CI/CD or progressive delivery is preferred.
  • Experience conducting user research or gathering feedback from technical users is preferred.
  • Comfort with UI/UX implementation and design tools such as Figma is preferred.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, or Go is preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-cluster or multi-region deployment strategies is preferred.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as generative AI to improve developer workflows is preferred.
