Description

  • Lead hands-on SAP S/4HANA release upgrades, including SUM execution, SAP Notes lifecycle, regression support, cutover planning, hypercare, rollback readiness, and post-upgrade stabilization.
  • Assess the SAP technical landscape and identify platform risks, undocumented configurations, upgrade dependencies, monitoring gaps, security exposures, and opportunities for automation or standardization.
  • Define and improve the SAP platform operating model, including support levels, escalation paths, incident ownership, monitoring standards, transport governance, documentation, and partner handoffs.
  • Provide hands-on support for regulatory and fiscal SAP changes in Brazil, including technical impact analysis, environment readiness, transport coordination, and support to functional teams and partners.
  • Operate and improve the SAP S/4HANA landscape end to end, including installations, support packages, kernel updates, system refreshes, client copies, job monitoring, interface monitoring, and routine Basis activities.
  • Administer SAP HANA operations, including system replication, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, capacity planning, patch coordination, and incident response.
  • Govern transport and change management through STMS and ChaRM / SAP Cloud ALM, ensuring traceability, segregation of duties, approvals, and safe promotion across environments.
  • Support SAP platform security baselines with Security and GRC stakeholders, including technical users, SSO, certificates, audit logs, role transport controls, and emergency access.
  • Operate SAP environments on cloud or managed SAP platforms such as RISE with SAP and/or AWS, supporting HA/DR routines, sizing reviews, backup validation, and vendor coordination.
  • Provide platform-level support for SAP Integration Suite / CPI, including tenant administration, connectivity, certificate management, Cloud Connector, deployment support, and runtime troubleshooting.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex incidents across performance, jobs, transports, connectivity, interfaces, HANA alerts, authorization issues, and upgrade defects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational playbooks, recovery procedures, known-error records, and audit evidence repositories.
  • Act as the internal SAP platform counterpart for implementation partners and AMS providers, reviewing plans, validating readiness, and challenging technical decisions.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for scripting, log analysis, documentation, and operational analysis, with human validation before production use.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience in SAP Basis / SAP platform operations.
  • Solid hands-on experience as SAP Basis on productive SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including SUM-based release upgrades, support packages, kernel updates, SAP Notes lifecycle management, system refreshes, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Experience building or operating SAP platform governance, documentation, or internal capabilities in environments where these practices are still maturing.
  • Experience with SAP monitoring and observability, including Solution Manager / Cloud ALM monitoring, job monitoring, interface monitoring, HANA cockpit, alerting, and dashboards.
  • Experience producing technical evidence for audits, including change logs, transport approvals, access reviews, backup evidence, incident records, recovery tests, and operational controls.
  • Experience maintaining and validating backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery procedures with documented RTO/RPO expectations and periodic recovery testing.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP HANA operations, including HANA System Replication, backup and recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, memory analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite / CPI from a platform operations perspective, including tenant administration, connectivity, certificate management, Cloud Connector, monitoring, deployment support, and runtime troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with SAP transport governance using ChaRM on Solution Manager 7.2 or SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Working knowledge of SAP platform security, including technical users, SSO, certificates, audit logs, role transport controls, and emergency access support.
  • Solid Linux administration skills on SUSE or RHEL, plus shell scripting.
  • Automation and scripting experience using shell, Python, or equivalent languages for operational automation, monitoring, log analysis, and reliability improvements.
  • ABAP fundamentals for reading and debugging code in incident analysis and SAP Notes validation.
  • Exposure to Groovy, JavaScript, or CPI iflow development is a strong plus.
  • Experience operating SAP landscapes on at least one cloud platform such as RISE with SAP or AWS, including HA/DR.
  • Practical experience in regulated industries such as fintech, banking, payments, retail, or e-commerce, with exposure to BACEN, LGPD, or SOX.
  • Familiarity with modern SAP transport approaches such as gCTS and abapGit, plus CI/CD applied to SAP assets.
  • Experience working with implementation partners and AMS providers to review plans, transports, SAP Notes strategy, cutover steps, and production-readiness criteria.
  • Familiarity with BW/4HANA and SAP BTP is desirable.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code or Copilot for SAP operations.
  • SAP certifications in S/4HANA Technology, SAP HANA Technology, SAP NetWeaver Technology, or SAP Integration Suite are desirable.
  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced Spanish and English are required.
