Description

  • Develop core and ancillary medical communication deliverables, including slides, manuscripts, video scripts, executive summaries, handouts, and moderator guides.
  • Perform literature searches and scientific research to support accurate, evidence-based content development.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Creative, and Client Services teams on medical storytelling and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with presentation and graphic designers to create illustrations, animations, and other visual applications of scientific information.
  • Work with clients and key opinion leaders to develop scientific content and execute medical communication strategy.
  • Conduct quality checks on content-related materials to ensure scientific integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare annotated deliverables and support Veeva submissions for medical, legal, and regulatory review.
  • Support project management by coordinating with Account and Project Managers and participating in internal and client meetings.
  • Train and mentor junior medical writers under the guidance of the Medical Director.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, corporate, and applicable U.S. requirements.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a healthcare-related field such as MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, or MS is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in medical education in a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical education, scientific research, or clinical practice/insights is preferred.
  • Experience with promotional and/or medical communication to healthcare professionals is preferred.
  • Experience with medical, legal, and regulatory reviews is preferred.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills in medical science are required.
  • Intermediate ability to analyze the scientific relevance, validity, and credibility of published medical literature is required.
  • Intermediate understanding of modern digital marketing practices and applications of artificial intelligence technology is required.
  • Ability to work occasional nonstandard hours based on project needs and deadlines is required.
  • Ability to travel moderately overnight/weekends up to 20% is required.
