Description

  • Lead the development of high-quality scientific content across a high volume of deliverables, including complex projects, brands, and therapeutic areas.
  • Provide strategic input on scientific messaging, competitor differentiation, data inclusion, data interpretation, and educational needs.
  • Review and refine project briefs to ensure deliverables are tactically relevant, strategically sound, and scientifically robust.
  • Guide less-experienced medical writers on content structure, data interpretation, referencing, and strategic alignment.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with clients and key opinion leaders across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Make proactive recommendations for content enhancements, new deliverables, or growth opportunities on assigned accounts.
  • Ensure deliverables meet standards for scientific accuracy, consistency, client guidelines, and industry regulations.
  • Support business development, departmental initiatives, and other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare communications within an agency.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline; PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for scientific narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across diverse accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with online proofing platforms such as Workfront Proof or Ziflow and with Veeva Vault.
  • Proficiency with AI tools and resources to support research and content development responsibly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
