Description

  • Manage multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Lead client engagements and guide strategic development and execution of tactics.
  • Advise clients on integrated marketing and communications decisions and identify new brand opportunities.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with key media channels.
  • Develop high-level communications plans, including annual and quarterly plans.
  • Lead operational efforts and own financial performance through budget and team management.
  • Manage client budgets, budget tracking, staffing, and billability.
  • Ensure account teams deliver high-quality work and respond to client requests in a strategic and timely manner.
  • Partner with shared services leads to grow integrated business and develop new business opportunities.
  • Directly supervise account staff and support continuous learning and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a public relations agency or client-side role.
  • Experience working with clients in the healthcare industry.
  • Understanding of how to integrate investor relations with public relations and basic financial communications knowledge.
  • Experience in data communications and complex scientific storytelling.
  • Ability to engage directly with senior-level, often C-suite, clients.
  • Understanding of the ever-changing digital landscape.
  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills, both formal and informal.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to think critically and creatively under pressure.
  • Project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines and manage detailed budgets.
  • Supervisory experience with junior staff and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated experience developing direct reports and influence-managing matrixed teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate under tight deadlines.
