Description

  • Own the full lifecycle of client-facing SaaS products, from AWS infrastructure design and deployment through optimization and support.
  • Architect and maintain scalable, resilient AWS environments across development, staging, and production.
  • Lead high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, failover, and recovery processes.
  • Manage Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and controlled environment promotion.
  • Own observability, including metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, performance, and FinOps improvements.
  • Maintain security controls and SOC 2 readiness, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, audit logging, testing, and remediation.
  • Support secure production integration of AI/ML and LLM features, including data classification, DLP, usage boundaries, and cost controls.
  • Establish SLAs, incident response procedures, on-call coverage, runbooks, release governance, and post-incident reviews.
  • Lead and mentor external IT or platform engineering teams while partnering with Security, Product, Client Services, vendors, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience implementing and operating commercial products on AWS, including compute, networking, databases, IAM, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, platform engineering, or cloud operations, including 3+ years operating production AWS workloads.
  • Leadership or people-management experience, preferably with external IT, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering teams.
  • Strong practical knowledge of SOC 2 and implementation of related security controls.
  • Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, least-privilege IAM, secrets management, logging, and audit practices.
  • Proven ownership of production reliability, including SLAs, incident response, on-call operations, and HA/DR.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical teams and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering client-facing, multi-tenant SaaS products preferred.
  • Experience productionizing AI/LLM features and governing AI usage, data handling, and cost preferred.
  • Familiarity with ECS/Fargate, EKS, AWS Lambda, observability tools, regulated environments, relevant certifications, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
