Description

  • Contribute to the expansion of computing education in schools and other educational settings for young people aged 5 to 25 in Odisha.
  • Deliver and evaluate teacher training and ongoing capacity-building sessions across Odisha through in-person training, online webinars, and school visits.
  • Support teachers through coaching conversations and lesson observation during school visits.
  • Nurture and support an educator community by managing enquiries and organizing virtual and in-person meet-ups and learning opportunities.
  • Plan and manage training and programme logistics, including venue scouting, equipment and supply coordination, and pre-event checks.
  • Support partner onboarding for state-level projects, including needs assessments, nominations, selection, and related coordination.
  • Ensure local trainers follow partnership terms, training standards, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on impact, curriculum development, monitoring, evaluation, and teacher and learner progress tracking tools.
  • Help develop, quality assure, and continuously improve computing education courses and programmes for Odisha.
  • Build relationships with government stakeholders and represent the Foundation externally through blog posts, magazine articles, outreach events, and workshops.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
  • Substantial teaching experience and experience designing and delivering effective training and training-of-trainers programmes, ideally in computing education or a related field.
  • A teaching qualification is preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Odisha’s formal education system, including curriculum, teacher training requirements, delivery methods, and school/community adoption processes.
  • Substantial project and programme management experience, including support for large-scale, complex projects, contracts, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to engage with and manage critical on-ground government stakeholders during programme implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Odia.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and complexity.
  • Good data, analytical, and reporting skills, with the ability to use data to improve outcomes.
  • Familiarity with online learning experiences and products is preferable.
  • Experience working in international organisations is preferable.
  • Comfort with regular travel to schools across the state for meetings, training, support, and audits.
  • Must be eligible to work in India.
