Description

  • Partner with enterprise account executives throughout complex technical sales engagements.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer architectures, security challenges, compliance requirements, and modernization initiatives.
  • Design technical solutions for customer cloud-native environments.
  • Build customized demonstrations for customer-specific use cases.
  • Lead architecture discussions on Kubernetes, containers, software supply chain security, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and execute proof-of-concepts and guide customer teams through deployment and validation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations and help drive successful sales outcomes.
  • Present the platform to technical and executive audiences and represent RapidFort at meetings and events.
  • Advise customers on Kubernetes security, container security, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to provide customer feedback, create collateral, and mentor junior Solutions Engineers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Pre-Sales supporting enterprise cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, containers and OCI images, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of container image construction, multi-stage Docker builds, image optimization, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of software supply chain security, SBOMs, vulnerability management, CVEs, container security, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles exceeding six months.
  • Demonstrated success using MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or comparable enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, CISOs, and executive leadership.
  • Experience supporting seven-figure enterprise opportunities is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for technical and business audiences.
  • Strong executive presence and comfort leading technical workshops and architecture sessions.
  • Curious, customer-focused, collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Remote role with Eastern Time Zone preferred; candidates in the Washington, DC metro area, Northern Virginia, Maryland, or surrounding regions are strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling cybersecurity platforms is preferred.
  • Background in Cloud Security, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, or Software Supply Chain Security is preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal Civilian, Intelligence Community, or highly regulated commercial organizations is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Sigstore, Cosign, SLSA, SPDX, CycloneDX, or other software supply chain technologies is preferred.
  • Active Security Clearance is a plus but not required.
