Description

  • Develop and execute a territory plan to meet or exceed growth targets across the Northeast North American region.
  • Sell new instruments, follow-on services, and consumables to new and existing customers.
  • Negotiate and close high-value capital equipment deals with long sales cycles.
  • Manage a sales pipeline of 30+ accounts and provide accurate forecasting of progress and pending purchase orders.
  • Provide technical expertise during the sales process to qualify customers, support product selection, and coordinate post-sale services.
  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and executive stakeholders to drive adoption and add-on sales.
  • Coordinate with Applications, Validation, Services, and other internal teams to support pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Participate in forecasting meetings, maintain Salesforce records, and manage activity logs and expenses.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of documented success in high-value capital sales, ideally in life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated industries.
  • Experience closing complex deals with long sales cycles of 6–18 months.
  • Experience managing large pipelines of high-value opportunities.
  • Experience selling into highly regulated GMP environments.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
  • BS/BA degree in a science field or equivalent life sciences experience preferred.
  • MBA, MSc, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of an industrial microbiology lab QC environment and selling capital equipment with pull-through disposables is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in capital equipment sales is required; candidates without this experience will not be considered.
  • Up to 50% travel to client sites, plus quarterly to bi-annual travel to Boston for internal meetings and tradeshows.
