Description

  • Own and evolve the Terraform and ArgoCD IaC and GitOps foundation.
  • Build and operate a multi-tenant, self-service internal developer platform with golden paths, onboarding, catalogs, and tooling.
  • Run Kubernetes on AWS GovCloud across development, pre-production, and production environments.
  • Architect and deploy MLOps/AIOps capabilities, including GPU workloads, model training and serving, managed notebooks, and GenAI workloads.
  • Enable the data lakehouse using Trino/Iceberg, Glue, S3, Dagster, dbt, and search technologies.
  • Implement observability, SLOs, dashboards, and actionable alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Automate security and compliance through secrets management, network policies, least-privilege IAM, policy-as-code, vulnerability remediation, and ATO artifacts.
  • Create and maintain platform documentation, production-readiness standards, and runbooks.
  • Partner with government stakeholders and platform tenants to translate mission needs into platform capabilities.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to technical leadership and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
  • Experience building and taking an internal developer platform or PaaS through production and ATO for a federal client.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; active Public Trust preferred.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes/EKS, GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux, and Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, S3, Glue, IAM/IRSA, ECR, SageMaker, Bedrock, and Athena.
  • Experience with cloud-native and data tools such as Karpenter, KEDA, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Trino, Dagster, and dbt.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and progressive delivery.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and scripting.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, ATO processes, GovCloud, or other regulated environments.
  • Preferred experience with production MLOps/AIOps, federal health data, lakehouse platforms, FedRAMP/IL4/IL5, air-gapped environments, policy-as-code, container security, SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, or cloud cost management.
