Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement REST APIs and integrations using JSON, XML, and SOAP.
  • Develop reusable integration capabilities and synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven interaction patterns.
  • Integrate applications with Apache Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms.
  • Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, and enterprise access-management solutions.
  • Build automated unit and component tests using JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Containerize applications and support Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift deployments.
  • Implement logging, metrics, and tracing while resolving scalability, reliability, and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain clean code, security, performance, documentation, and engineering-quality standards.
  • Use approved generative AI tools responsibly to improve development, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
  • 3+ years of Spring Boot development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing REST APIs and system-to-system integrations.
  • 2+ years of practical Oracle Database and SQL experience, including relevant PL/SQL interaction.
  • 2+ years of experience with messaging or event-driven solutions, preferably Apache Kafka.
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Experience delivering business-critical enterprise applications through the full software delivery lifecycle.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating card-processing or card-management systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with card issuing, acquiring, authorization, or transaction-processing platforms.
  • Experience integrating Visa and/or Mastercard services and card lifecycle processes; regulated-industry experience is strongly preferred.
