Description

  • Design and implement automated continuous backups of Azure IoT Hub device registry and device twin state.
  • Store backup data securely in Azure Blob Storage.
  • Develop automation for reliable and consistent backup operations.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery procedures for Azure IoT Hub environments.
  • Create operational disaster recovery runbooks and technical documentation.
  • Plan and execute device-state restoration drills in development environments.
  • Validate restoration of device registry and twin state against acceptance criteria.
  • Support monitoring and operational visibility for backup and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, backend, and IoT engineering teams to improve platform resilience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure IoT Hub.
  • Experience with Azure Storage and Blob Storage.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong automation skills and an automation-oriented mindset.
  • Practical experience designing or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience creating operational disaster recovery runbooks and recovery procedures.
  • Experience with monitoring and operational dashboards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Azure IoT Hub disaster recovery, IoT or edge platforms, Azure DevOps and CI/CD, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Python, PowerShell, Bash, recovery drills, business continuity testing, and Azure security and identity management.
