Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making criteria.
  • Translate Pure Storage and ecosystem technologies into measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue growth and net new business.
  • Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings.
  • Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Capture requirements and turn customer needs into innovative solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for interoperability, functional testing, and performance validation.
  • Work with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on competition, market trends, and solution positioning.
  • Promote Pure values through day-to-day leadership and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • Candidate must reside in the Raleigh, NC area.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
  • Experience in the SLED vertical is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
  • Prior experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Experience contributing to or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises systems, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Knowledge of VMware, LANs, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Experience with storage-intensive applications such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
