Description

  • Lead the Solutions Architecture/Engineering team supporting customer solution design and pre-sales technical efforts.
  • Partner with sales to develop and close opportunities by providing colocation and networking expertise.
  • Architect creative and complex co-location, IT, cloud, and networking solutions for prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Provide technical guidance, managerial oversight, and mentoring to engineers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assess customer needs, identify design gaps, and translate requirements into deliverable technical solutions.
  • Participate in deep technical discussions and present solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support all of Cologix’s product lines across the North American platform, with primary focus on the eastern U.S. market.
  • Influence cross-functional teams across sales, finance, operations, legal, procurement, and other functions to align on deal process and solution design.
  • Lead on-site customer meetings and travel to other markets as needed.
  • Advise internal teams and executives on infrastructure, critical facilities, and networking solution strategy.

Requirements

  • 15-20+ years of technical experience in colocation, hosting, or cloud companies, preferably in operations or technical sales.
  • Strong solutions sales capability, including proposal development and proactive customer communication.
  • Managerial or team leadership experience with a proven ability to mentor staff and support internal growth.
  • Detailed knowledge of hosting technologies and colocation/networking environments.
  • Broad knowledge of Internet technologies, including servers, networking equipment, and storage design solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of AI systems and AI system architecture.
  • Broad knowledge of critical facilities, including electrical/generation, mechanical systems, and telecom cabling standards.
  • Experience understanding RFP, RFI, and RFQ formats and responses.
  • Ability to analyze complex project documents and communicate them clearly to different audiences.
  • One or more preferred certifications: CDCP, CDFOS, CNCDP, CCNA, CCNP Cloud, or AWS/Google/Microsoft cloud certification knowledge/experience.
