Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business drivers and decision-making criteria.
  • Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to shape customer strategy and drive revenue growth.
  • Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings.
  • Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Capture requirements and translate customer business needs into innovative solutions.
  • Identify and support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on competitors, market trends, and solution positioning.
  • Lead by example while embodying the company’s values of persistence, creativity, teamwork, ownership, and customer-first thinking.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting the sale of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Experience contributing to or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Strong knowledge of storage architectures such as FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, cloud-native architecture, on-prem environments, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle databases is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
