Description

  • Own technical customer engagement during the pre-sales process by building and presenting product demos, pilots, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Deliver customized technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospects.
  • Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies, plan sales execution, and position RapidSOS’s value proposition and vision.
  • Create documentation and specifications to support technical sales initiatives and prospect presentations.
  • Translate client requirements into technical solution documents for product and engineering teams.
  • Identify scope and technical risks and help overcome limitations internally and externally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Public Safety teams.
  • Continuously learn RapidSOS’s products and market trends.
  • Guide clients on how to use RapidSOS APIs and related products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role, including 2+ years in a technical customer-facing role.
  • Pre-sales experience selling complex API-based products or SaaS products, including technical discovery and demo presentations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure in a SaaS environment.
  • Ability to balance product knowledge, communication, collaboration, and sales aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Ability to travel 25%–30% of the time.
  • Experience with scripting and Postman (preferred).
  • Experience in contact center, home security, or commercial security (preferred).
  • Understanding of telecom, VoIP, VoLTE, LTE, e911, and public safety systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Python, React, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS, or a software development background (preferred).
  • Preference for candidates based in the Midwest or Western U.S. (preferred).
