Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making priorities.
  • Translate Pure Storage and ecosystem technologies into measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to shape customer strategy and drive revenue growth.
  • Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings across DAS, NAS, and SAN.
  • Lead customer evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to support technical wins.
  • Capture customer requirements and turn business needs into innovative solution designs.
  • Identify and support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on competitors, market trends, and solution positioning to inform customer conversations and internal thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
  • Experience in the SLED vertical is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
  • Prior experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Ability to contribute to or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Strong knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, on-prem, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices is a plus.
  • Curiosity and passion for technology and for explaining new technology concepts to customers.
  • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
