Description

  • Lead technical discovery and advisory engagements with enterprise customers to identify high-value AI use cases.
  • Advise on end-to-end AI deployment, including model selection, training and fine-tuning, inference optimization, data pipeline design, and evaluation/alignment/safety frameworks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to qualify and position AI opportunities and develop proof-of-value prototypes that connect technical results to business outcomes.
  • Create AI enablement content for field teams, partners, and customers, including walkthroughs, qualification guides, workshops, and vertical-specific frameworks.
  • Present at industry conferences, publish technical content and peer-reviewed research, and represent Pure with strategic technology partners.
  • Operate autonomously in ambiguous environments by independently scoping and driving high-impact initiatives to completion.
  • Support account teams in qualifying and positioning AI advisory opportunities across territories.
  • Provide enablement to internal field and channel partner communities.
  • Work across Solutions, Marketing, Alliances, Engineering, Enablement, and Sales to align initiatives and go-to-market campaigns.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience through publications and production system work.
  • 8+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Deep expertise in modern AI/ML, including large language models, distributed training, inference optimization, agentic systems, evaluation/alignment frameworks, and classical ML.
  • Fluency with the modern AI stack, including PyTorch, vLLM, Ray, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Spark, Snowflake, and Kafka.
  • Ability to scope and execute research projects independently and collaboratively in support of business objectives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with large-scale AI infrastructure, including GPU clusters, high-performance storage, and containerized deployments, preferred.
  • Customer-facing technical advisory or consulting experience with enterprise accounts, preferred.
  • Experience leading independent multi-year research from concept to publication or large-scale production deployment, preferred.
  • Exposure to multiple industry verticals such as financial services, healthcare, telco, or manufacturing, preferred.
  • Publication record, conference presentations, or a recognized technical presence, preferred.
  • Background combining applied research with shipping production systems, preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM or opportunity management systems, with Salesforce preferred.
