Description

  • Improve system quality by identifying issues and recurring patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
  • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and designing and implementing system changes.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases and participate in peer code review.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement technical designs.
  • Investigate and evaluate new technologies when relevant.
  • Create written knowledge transfer materials.
  • Support software, automation, and AI initiatives that advance clinical engineering and radiology operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience solving technical challenges across backend and frontend systems.
  • Strong backend experience with Python, GraphQL, and frameworks such as Flask and/or FastAPI.
  • Strong frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and Redux.
  • Experience with other tech stacks such as Java, NodeJS, AngularJS, VueJS, MobX, or Django is a plus.
  • Strong experience with databases such as SQL and/or NoSQL, primarily Postgres and/or DynamoDB.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or TravisCI is a plus.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure is a plus.
  • Nice-to-have experience with medical imaging and healthcare systems including PACS, OHIF, DICOM, FDA, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, Electronic Medical Record, Healthlake Imaging, and Medical Imaging.
  • Nice-to-have experience with graphic libraries such as OpenGL, Verge3D, Babylon.js, PyQt5, or Tkinter.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent experience, or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.
  • Ability to work remotely across the U.S. and Canada during Eastern Standard Time hours.
  • Toronto-based candidates are preferred for a hybrid work model.

  • Base salary of $166,000 to $249,000 USD per year, depending on experience and geographic location.
