Description

  • Design, deploy, and optimize cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and hybrid environments.
  • Translate client business requirements into scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies, including Oracle IaaS/PaaS, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native design.
  • Lead client onboarding and cloud migration projects with minimal disruption and strong security and compliance alignment.
  • Monitor and manage cloud environments and remediate issues within contractual SLAs.
  • Partner with NOC and Service Desk teams to resolve incidents and escalations.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates, deployment pipelines, and automation scripts.
  • Advise clients on cloud modernization, cost savings, and security best practices.
  • Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support pre-sales activities including scoping, estimating, and proposal development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure in a managed services, MSP, or consulting environment.
  • Deep expertise with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, Oracle Resource Manager, or Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of networking, identity and access management, security best practices, and cloud monitoring.
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with ITIL, service management frameworks, and MSP toolsets such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong interpersonal, client communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client, SLA-driven environment.
  • Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect Associate/Professional, or CISSP are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, TIC 3.0, and security controls is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tooling in AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or Google platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and guide technical teams is preferred.
  • Candidate must be within commuting distance of Columbia, SC, and able to travel periodically to customer facilities.
  • Selected applicant may be subject to a background investigation and/or education verification.
