Description

  • Set technical direction and standards for machine learning projects.
  • Make architectural decisions for ML systems and review technical designs.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt and complex technical issues.
  • Champion best practices in ML engineering, code quality, and maintainable software design.
  • Mentor and coach 2-5 junior and mid-level ML engineers.
  • Conduct technical code reviews and support engineers in debugging and problem-solving.
  • Create learning opportunities through workshops, documentation, and growth planning.
  • Contribute code to critical components and build proof-of-concepts for new approaches.
  • Develop reusable ML accelerators and frameworks.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools as needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge across multiple machine learning domains.
  • Extensive experience building production-grade ML systems.
  • Ability to design scalable and maintainable ML architectures.
  • Strong understanding of MLOps, ML infrastructure, and operations.
  • Experience with modern LLM-based applications and RAG.
  • Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Advanced AWS cloud experience; familiarity with other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of data pipelines, data engineering, and distributed system design.
  • Experience building and maintaining ML pipelines with CI/CD.
  • Writes clean, exemplary code and applies unit, integration, and ML-specific testing practices.
  • Advanced Git workflows, documentation skills, and strong collaboration practices.
