Description

  • Manage day-to-day administration of U.S. government contracts, including proposal preparation, pre-contract risk analysis, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure contracts comply with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, agency supplements, guidelines, requirements, and procedures.
  • Review complex domestic proposals and identify, mitigate, or eliminate proposal risk and execution risk.
  • Draft revised terms and conditions language in response to RFPs and other solicitation requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions, and initiate documentation to authorize work according to contractual specifications.
  • Lead contract negotiations and evaluate new business opportunities, providing recommendations to business management that reduce risk and improve financial results.
  • Communicate contractual risks, results, and mitigation options clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including influencing other business areas without direct authority.
  • Determine appropriate flow-down provisions for subcontracts and material procurement.
  • Mentor less experienced contract professionals and support the management of high-volume or complex proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 10+ years of cradle-to-grave contracts experience in the Defense/IC industry.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and submitting prime contract proposals and subcontract packages to federal agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and solicitation requirements.
  • Experience with multiple contract types, including FFP, FPI, FPAF, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, LH, GSA, and IDIQ.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Unanet systems.
  • Extensive experience negotiating multi-million-dollar defense contracts and working with large Defense/IC contractors.
  • Ability to contribute to development strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing and supporting Top Secret level contracts or higher, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
