Description

  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients and vendors, including master services agreements, consulting agreements, independent contractor agreements, confidentiality agreements, work orders, and change orders.
  • Escalate complex contracting issues to the corporate legal team as needed.
  • Ensure contracts follow company policies, procedures, and contracting standards.
  • Keep leadership and business teams informed on the status of contract negotiations and execution.
  • Coordinate agreement execution and track expirations and other contractual obligations.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining contract files and databases.
  • Help design and implement policies and procedures to support timely contract execution.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and take initiative to improve workflows.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Experience in the life science or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy while managing deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment and a proactive, independent work style.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with team members at different levels of the organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend English.
