Description

  • Manage an efficient procurement operation for materials, supplies, equipment, and services supporting clinical trials.
  • Organize and supervise procurement activities across the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle.
  • Negotiate preferential pricing and supplier terms and conditions to secure the best possible agreements.
  • Review and compare specifications and costs during the solicitation process and support vendor negotiations to reduce costs.
  • Establish, track, and report progress toward savings targets.
  • Develop tools and processes that improve procurement efficiency and quality.
  • Stay current on market trends and developments affecting the industry.
  • Lead transformational activities to strengthen procurement capabilities and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver value through cost reduction, cost avoidance, vendor-enabled innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance throughout the purchasing process, including vendor selection and bidding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field, or international equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in life science procurement and outsourcing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of how to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.
  • Experience with clinical trial procurement and contract research organization operations.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain certifications are required or preferred.
  • Experience managing and developing staff.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational efficiency.
