Description

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and overall support to the Site Start-Up team.
  • Oversee site start-up delivery across IRB/EC/CA submissions, site contracts, and budget negotiations.
  • Work with the Head of Site Start Up to develop the SSU framework, tools, methodology, and risk mitigation approach.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Project Management, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams on SSU planning and execution.
  • Manage escalations and remediate SSU issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support process optimization, continuous improvement, KPI development, measurement, and reporting.
  • Partner with global resourcing teams to assess and manage team members and ensure cost, time, and quality goals are met.
  • Support career development, growth, and succession planning for SSU staff.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, proposals, budgeting, and bid defense preparation.
  • Ensure SSU activities comply with regulatory requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines, SOPs, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in clinical research, including extensive site start-up experience.
  • Experience working for a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO).
  • Experience in people management.
  • Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Experience working in a team environment with resource management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and clinical software such as CTMS, eTMF, or EDC.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Fluency in English.
