Description

  • Provide leadership and overall support to the Site Start-Up department.
  • Oversee site start-up delivery across IRB/EC/CA submissions, site contracts, and budget negotiations.
  • Work with the Head of Site Start Up to define the SSU framework, tools, methodology, and risk mitigations.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, project management, and other cross-functional teams on global and regional SSU activities.
  • Manage escalations and resolve SSU issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support process optimization to improve delivery and profitability against budget targets.
  • Partner with Global Resourcing to assess and manage team members and ensure cost, time, and quality goals are met.
  • Support career development, growth, and succession planning for SSU staff.
  • Contribute to client meetings, presentations, proposals, budgeting, and bid defense preparation.
  • Develop, measure, and report SSU KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of clinical research experience, including extensive site start-up experience.
  • Experience working in a Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
  • Experience in people management.
  • Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Experience in team environments with resource management responsibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and clinical systems such as CTMS, eTMF, and EDC.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Fluency in English.
