Description

  • Build full-stack applications, including backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and modern web front ends for credit and structured products platforms.
  • Develop quantitative models and analytics for fixed-income and structured product valuation, cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk decomposition.
  • Integrate third-party systems such as Geneva, market data vendors, CRM platforms, and administrative platforms, including adapter and reconciliation logic.
  • Migrate legacy .NET/C# applications and SSRS reports to modern, scalable, cloud-deployed architectures with responsive user experiences.
  • Own data quality end to end, including ingestion, normalization, validation, and lineage for firmwide positions.
  • Build reporting and BI solutions, including Tableau dashboards, internal web tooling, investor reporting, and ad hoc DDQ responses.
  • Translate business needs into engineering deliverables by gathering requirements, documenting specifications, writing UAT plans, and leading testing.
  • Ship production software by writing tests, managing source control, using CI/CD, handling tickets, and monitoring deployed systems.
  • Use AI coding assistants as part of the development workflow to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a top-tier university in computer science, mathematics, physics, financial engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of customer-facing or business-critical systems.
  • 2+ years of capital markets experience, ideally with exposure to fixed income, structured products, derivatives, private credit, or CLOs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering full-stack applications end to end from requirements through production deployment and support.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/JavaScript, plus working competence in a second language.
  • Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous services, and microservice patterns; Python or C#/.NET experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, responsive web design, HTML5/CSS, and cross-platform mobile optimization.
  • Expert SQL skills, including window functions, query tuning, and set-based thinking, plus experience with NoSQL or document stores.
  • Comfort with NumPy/pandas or equivalent, basic statistics, fixed-income math such as duration, convexity, and OAS, and cash flow modeling.
  • Experience with Git or TFS, CI/CD, DevOps, Confluence, and unit and integration testing frameworks.
  • Experience deploying and operating services on Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Tableau dashboard development or SSRS experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of fixed-income securities, bank loans, and credit instruments.
  • Familiarity with the private credit deal lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, closing, monitoring, amendments, and valuation.
  • Awareness of portfolio accounting concepts such as Geneva and portfolio risk frameworks such as Bloomberg Port or RiskMetrics.
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical work to PMs and senior executives.
  • Ability to juggle multiple workstreams under deadline pressure and maintain high standards for code quality, data accuracy, and operational discipline.
