Description

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Work with business stakeholders to iterate on software requirements.
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
  • Analyze and debug systems to resolve issues.
  • Perform validation and verification testing in a test-driven manner.
  • Review the work of others and invite peer review of your own work.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products.
  • Ensure software stays up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Work with distributed computing systems such as Apache Hudi and Trino for big data processing.

Requirements

  • Experience with distributed computing tools such as Apache Hudi, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Beam, Trino, Databricks, or similar big data technologies.
  • Experience with distributed storage systems such as ADLS, HDFS, S3, or DLT.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, or other distributed computing systems.
  • Understanding of data partitioning and sharding techniques.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing principles for large-scale data processing.
  • Experience writing clean, scalable code in languages such as Python or Java.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints.
  • Working knowledge of TDD.
  • Proficiency with Git.
  • Experience using system and performance monitoring tools such as New Relic or DataDog.
  • Excellent organization, critical-thinking, and personal leadership skills.
  • Self-starter who can deliver with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with an analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Bonus points for experience with Spring Boot, React, Selenium automation, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Ansible, Jenkins CI/CD, Linux, IP networking, AWS/Azure, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SaaS products, Service Oriented Architecture, scripting in Python/Bash/Groovy, on-call production support, mentoring, and Generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
