Description

  • Facilitate live virtual peer support groups and address members’ emotional needs with empathy.
  • Create agendas, discussion questions, and activities using Plume’s monthly themes, templates, and lived experience.
  • Manage group dynamics, resolve conflicts, and uphold group agreements and appropriate boundaries.
  • Answer questions about Plume services and help members access available support.
  • Engage participants in the Prism community to encourage connection beyond group meetings.
  • Provide feedback on group structures, facilitator training materials, and related program resources.
  • Provide occasional coverage for other facilitators and optionally support events or Prism moderation.
  • Prepare for sessions, complete follow-up, and participate in training or consultation as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a facilitator or peer support specialist.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting trans or nonbinary individuals through professional, community, or volunteer work.
  • 1+ year of experience facilitating virtual or online support groups, workshops, or learning experiences.
  • Experience facilitating discussions or educational content on equity, inclusion, anti-racism, consent, social justice, or trans/nonbinary issues.
  • Experience discussing sensitive topics affecting trans and nonbinary communities, including coming out, mental health, identity, sexuality, relationships, isolation, substance use, HIV/AIDS, and safety.
  • Professional experience or education in mental health, behavioral health, counseling, social work, peer support, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to support discussions tailored to at least two specified communities, such as transfeminine, transmasculine, nonbinary, BIPOC, neurodivergent, parenting, disabled, or advocacy communities preferred.
  • Familiarity with fast-paced startup environments preferred.
  • Experience with Zoom, Slack, and Google Sheets preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States.
